Scarborough is committed to high-quality data, and we continuously invest in our services to uphold those standards. Our ongoing investment and inclusion of Cell Phone-Only (CPO) respondents in our Top-Tier syndicated surveys is an example of this commitment.
In fact, CPO joins a long list of investments we make in our services, such as response rate excellence and MRC accreditation. When you choose Scarborough, you are choosing quality research.
Scarborough Research™ is committed to incorporating CPO treatment into the remainder of our Top-Tier local market studies in 2011. Our clients can consistently enjoy reliable data that is properly representative of today's consumers. Further, CPO enhances our sample composition among traditionally hard to reach young and multicultural populations, providing clients with added reliability.
Scarborough Research™ employs an address-based sample to identify cell phone-only households. This CPO sample is combined with the company’s traditional landline telephone sample frame currently used to collect data for its syndicated Top-Tier Local Market service.
In August 2009, Scarborough announced the initial set of markets receiving CPO treatment. These ten markets include CPO households in the sample starting with the first release of data in 2010 (Release 1 2010, which begins issuing to the marketplace in April).
Starting with the second release of data in 2010 (Release 2, 2010), Scarborough will expand its cell phone-only treatment to 20 more markets, indicated below with an asterisk (*). This database will issue to the marketplace in October. |
